The 3i Empowered Learning Curriculum Design

We design learning experiences that activate complex thought processes and promote deeper learning.  Our primary objective through this design is to empower students to know themselves as capable and effective learners by providing them with active learning opportunities where they identify interests, pursue answers to their questions, and evaluate their learning while at the same time helping them build the skills, concepts and language relative to the content.

In 2020-21, we will be taking our next steps in refining our Personal Learning system through implementation of our new Learning Engine, the 3i Empowered Learning Framework.  This framework comes through our work in Leader in Me and will help us to design learning experiences for our students that activates complex thought processes and promotes deeper learning.  Our primary objective through this design is to empower students to know themselves as capable and effective learners by providing them with active learning opportunities where they identify interests, pursue answers to their questions, and evaluate their learning while at the same time helping them build the skills, concepts and language related to the content.  Provided here are some questions to support unit and lesson design aligned to the 3i Framework.
